Don I totally disagree with this statement. On the contrary. Society is only civil to the degree its citizens are willing and able to protect themselves. If there had been 70 armed citizens on each of the 4 planes on 9/11, there would have been no hijackings. The hijackers succeeded because our government disarmed its citizens. These people were committed to wreaking havoc on the American psyche one way or another.Guns would not have prevented their mission.
