(Bumper sticker version of the current Democratic platform: "Ask me about how I'm going to raise your taxes.")

The worst trap set for Dems is always the tax issue. It's bogus. If the stupid Dems keep repeating the tax issue as framed by Republicans, they deserve the problems they get. Due to the (slightly) adversarial relationship with the opposing party, the economy under Dems has been consistently better than Repubs simply because the Repubs are more organized. The Repubs are "borrow and spend", while Dems are "attempt but fail to tax, and attempt but fail to spend". Give me the Dems any day. In fact, shut Washington down 9 months out of the year like the 19th century, and we'd be better off than the current rampaging Republican oligarchy, and it's puppy-dog Democratic followers. Taxes... what dummies.
