Calling All Traders:

As of today, 843 people have this thread bookmarked and 249 people have the Z Portfolio thread bookmarked Subject 11272 . For a long time, less than ten people have posted trades in the Z Portfolio. If I counted correctly, only six people have posted trades this year. Most likely some of the people who have these two threads bookmarked no longer read Silicon Investor, but I'm sure that more than ten people read these threads. Can we please have some feedback as to why more people don't post trades for the Z Portfolio. We openly welcome everyone to get involved with the trading here. I'm also curious why so many more people have this thread bookmarked than the Z Portfolio thread. Is it that you didn't know about the portfolio thread, are more interested in the general discussion here instead of the trades in the portfolio, or is it due to some other reason?

Thanks.

Dan

Ron: I remember those days like you described them. Not sure if I would admit to placing and canceling trades just to capture more free quotes, but I can't say for sure that I never did that. lol To state the obvious, technology has come a long way in a short period of time, and advances in software force you to replace your hardware periodically. At least the prices of computers have come down over the years. My first Gateway 486 cost about $2500. I could spend that much today if I really wanted to, but the power of the computer would be a lot more than I need. One can get all they need for about $1200, or at least a computer that is much more powerful than my old Gateway that costs twice as much.

COMCAST: "The nation's largest cable company said it added more than 472,000 new high-speed Internet customers in the quarter, and now expects to end 2003 with 1.7 million additional high-speed customers, and about 5.3 million in all."

Ron, welcome to the fast lane. i've had Roadrunner (Time Warner's cable modem) for over 4 years. I'd never be without it.
Comcast's integration of T's cable's customers and extension of Cable modem service is why i own CMCSA and have it in the long term basket larry
