Not according to Abraham Lincoln, who authorized hanging profiteers during the Civil War. Not according to Teddy Roosevelt, a highly principled president, especially angry about graft and manipulation of government for private profit. These weren't moral relativists, paid off by lobbyist bribery. They countenanced neither "Merchants of Death" nor profiteers. Full and immediate disclosure is needed on every dollar, rather than the dismissiveness of the administration.
