America is seeing first hand the problems of no checks and balances when you have one party controlling everything. American needs to wake up and fast in 2004 otherwise we are all going to hell in a hand basket fast.

I think that the republicans know that they are vulnerable on several issues. The White House leaks, the use of intelligence leading up to the war. The blanking out of 28 pages covering the Bush bin Laden connections in the 9-11 report are all amazing to me.

If any one of these things is allowed to be fully aired in front of the American people, the repercussions will go way beyond the damage Nixon did to the party during Watergate.

The republicans know that there could be a party wide price to pay. They desperately want to keep the lid on these scandals.
