I always knew that killing someone with a hammer is a much lesser offence than with a gun

have you considered that it may be connected to weather? You know, in Vermont the crime is at much lower rate than in in NY, more to the south, in spite of huge number of bikers in VT. It is just too cold to go out and kill someone <ggggg>

Here in the US we mostly kill each other with cars. Last year alone, we managed to eliminate 42,815 citizens. Perhaps we should have a three day waiting period to determine if a person knows how to drive before selling them an automobile.
