If there was a general warning about hijackings, it was too general to do any good.

Moreover, right after 9/11, tv pundits and pros discussed the history of airplane hijackings in some detail. To a person, they expressed that suicidal hijackers turning the planes into missiles was unforeseen.

Historically, hijackers diverted an airplane's flight to get attention, money, or transportation to another country. Prior to 9/11, airlines instructed crews to cooperate with hijackers, because the likelihood of planes and people eventually being released unharmed was the rule.

9/11 changed everything.

Any honest observer knows that.
