If Bush is re-elected, he will raise taxes on the middle class. Count on it to happen.

Something is really wrong with the whole tax system. The Federal Government roughly has a budget of 1 trillion (1,000,000,000,000) per year. There are 280 million people in this country (280,000,000). Divide the 1 trillion by the 280 million works out to $3571 for each person. I am decidedly middle class, single with no dependants. I pay 3 to 4 times what I owe. Clearly I'm paying for somebody's else's dependants (that they couldn't afford and had anyways) which somebody else should be responsible for. The tax bill for a family of 4 with 2 wage earners should be $14,284.

Arnold S. may use the fires as excuse to raise taxes.
someone has to pay. Something GW and cronies don't seem to understand.
