The French did their best to submarine Wilson after the WWI "did their best"? S**t, they did it! They rammed the Versailles treaty down the German's throats and guaranteed WW2. The Brits were pissed, but not THAT pissed. They thought the frogs were going overboard. Wilson would have been much more forgiving and generous with the Germans. And Herr Hitler would not have had the base the French gave him to build on. He likely would never had gotten the chance to dance that jig.
