Globalization seems to be a great leveler, I just can't see the developed nations willing to take the tremendous loss in standard of living necessary for globalization to continue.

Until recently, it took something like 8 or 9 percent unemployment to be considered especially high. 5 percent was considered low. 6 or 7 was hardly a blip on the screen. For years now, unemployment has been abnormally low, and is now about "middling" by historical standards, even while globalization has been going on. So far, so good........
