Analyst Samuel May at USB Piper Jaffray raised his price target on Qualcomm shares (QCOM) to $54 from $44, and reiterated his "outperform" rating ahead of the wireless technologies company fiscal fourth quarter results, which are slated to be revealed late-Wednesday. The stock rallied 64 cents, or 1.3 percent, to $48.13, and reached a 22-month high of $48.63 in intraday trading. Analysts surveyed by Thomson First Call are expecting earnings of 29 cents a share and revenue of $873.2 million, on average. May thinks the company's outlook has "brightened" since suffering Asian inventory problems in the first half of 2003;;
