You're like Bush, truly terrified. Too terrified to be trusted to make decisions. Like a scared dog you'll bite anyone, anytime and therefor lend reality to your own paranoid fears that "they're out to get me." You stated, with respect to Vietnam vets; "No, you are not a red-blooded, “By God someone's goin to pay" real American. You are correct here. Apparently very few such Americans exist. That is the problem. Nam made yall into a bunch of old, washed-up queers." On behalf of myself and others who actually saw close combat in Vietnam, let me tell you to go screw yourself. You've never killed anyone. You've never seen anyone face death from a few meters away in thick, triple canopy jungle as they took one step after another into hidden ambushes. You've never hauled your buddies out when you thought that every move you made would be your last. You've never felt the sadness of knowing that it was all about the pettiness of so-called great men and that your buddies and all the others died for nothing. You've never seen the faces of those you've killed, in moments frozen in time across a dappled shadowy jungle, right before your bullets cut their strings and they melted into nothing. You've never wondered about the lives that never were, both theirs and those of your friends. You've never been tested in places where average men did amazing things. So who cares what you say about the men that did. It's people like you and the other chickenhawks that make me wonder about the future of this great nation. Talk to me when you can talk like a man.
