I think that many times the characterization of Nazi, Bircher or McCarthyist when applied to some people on this board may not be that inaccurate. What's wrong with calling a spade a spade? I agree that there is a lunatic fringe on the left also, that comes across as completely not based in reality. But if you look on this board at the number of posts that are replied to with just insults without any content other than that, those posts are more likely to be from the right than the left.
