On the other hand employer paid med insurance is out of the range of federal and state tax collectors. Ostensibly the med insurance benefit if dropped would be made up in cash to the employee. The end result floods government with additional payroll taxes paid by the first dollar out of the lowest paid employee who is least likely to buy an insurance product.

The system we have sucks all right but go down to the post office tomorrow to remind yourself how bad it can get with big bro in charge.
