At some point the US politicians will grow alarmed that more US companies are not forming alliances or taking over Chinese companies, and see the Chinese companies recruited into the Japanese, Korean and German legions.

The US politicians forget that the game is not about American jobs, but concerns global competitiveness and planet –wide market share, i.e. if GE were to exit China, it will go the way of ABB.
