It's a fallacy (perpetrated largely on these threads); there is no discernible advantage for 1X, especially when you account for the annoying CDMA latency in call setup and teardown.

PS Don't worry, I don't mind breaking rule #9 for you ...

BTW You realize those rules don't apply here, right? Lay off the koolaid, OK.

Qualcomm "hold"

Tuesday, November 04, 2003 11:47:55 AM ET
Legg Mason

NEW YORK, November 4 (New Ratings) – Analysts at Legg Mason Wood Walker reiterate their "hold" rating on Qualcomm Inc (QCOM).

In a research note published yesterday, the analysts mention that the company is expected to post in-line Q3 results. The analysts believe that there would be a slight increase in the company's EPS and revenue guidance for Q4. A positive CDMA subscriber outlook in China and India could, however, negatively impact the estimates, Legg Mason Wood Walker adds.

Huh?
