Sidney, I have said, a number of times, that my main issues of incorrect biblical writings were those of the early pages of Genesis, and I cannot believe the written accounts based on oral legends that were passed around for, at least, hundreds of years before anyone attempted to put them in writing. As time passes, and the words pass from one person to another, any story is dramatically changed along the way.

I, basically, believe in the written accounts of the four apostles because the did live with Jesus. That is not to say that there was no exaggeration, or poetic license, taken in the process.

If anyone wants to believe that every word in the bibles of today are God's word, that is their privilege, and right, but I do not agree, for whatever that may be worth.

As I have said, repeatedly, I do believe in a supreme power, which English speaking people call God, that caused the gathering of the elements, and the ultimate creation of the universe, of which the planet Earth is just one very small speck within it. I, also, believe in some power for good, which may be attributed to Jesus, because I have experienced the effects of such a power, which is why I am still alive today. I, also, believe that there is an, almost equal evil power at work on the Earth. All I can hope for is that the good force, ultimately, defeats the evil force. None of us will know the whole truth until the end. That is even written in the bible.

The great Hinge of the Word of God is the claim of the bodily resurrection of Jesus of Nazareth from the dead. If it is not true, then the Bible does not testify of the true God. This is Paul's great, bold argument in 1 Cor. 15:14

And if Christ be not risen, then is our preaching vain, and your faith is also vain. Yea, and we are found false witnesses of God . . .

However, he asserts definitely that, in deed, Jesus was resurrected and what that means for all men who die. Though all die today, they shall live again (as John says in his gospel, some to life; others to damnation (5:28)).

But now is Christ risen from the dead, and become the firstfruits of them that slept. For since by man (Adam) came death, by man (Jesus) came also the resurrection of the dead. Parentheses mine.(1 Cor.15:20-21)

Adam is not stronger than Jesus.

Sidney, I wonder if Constantine and his loyal minions were truly credible enough to be trusted with God's Word. Look what became of it. The Roman Catholic Church. They sent for the writings that different communities had but then like all government institutions, they put the spin on it that was most beneficial to their purses.

A Little Bit of the Bible"

"One of the reasons I found it to be of importance is that many scholars erroneously teach that the New Testament was originally written in Greek form. The translations we have today have their roots firmly planted into copies of the ancient Greek manuscripts. I have always questioned the validity of this opinion, as the Jewish people would retain their own language, even while under the dominion of the Roman Empire. Why then, if they spoke one language, would they write their letters to each other in another language?

Another reason is that it has already been verified that there are numerous errors in the translation of the King James Version of the Bible, as well as in the other translations taken from Greek manuscripts. In translating the scriptures out of the Aramaic & Hebrew text into the Greek form by Greek scholars, it was easy for quite a bit of Greek Mythology to become mixed in with the translations."
