>>"By the way, does anyone know how many Americans have been killed in New York City, or Washington DC, or Detroit, since March 20th?"<<

No, but if some city with 160,000 inhabitants had a daily dose of killed and maimed by car bombs, rpgs, shoulder mounted missiles and ak 47s, I suspect even Fox would lead with it, keep a running total and maybe even try to pin the blame on someone like the mayor.

Media bias is a very subjective topic. Given your demonstrated bias, you are certainly not qualified to critique the media. Two examples of your bias:

In addition, the anchors (or texts) usually stress "...since President Bush declared an end to major combat operations", in an apparent attempt to poke fun of the President.

Since the Commander in Chief declared an end to combat, combat deaths have increased. This fact is crucial to any story about U.S. combat deaths. Yet, you want to suppress it.

However, obsessing over the daily count clearly plays into the intent of the terrorists

Iraqis who attack the military troops of a foreign occupier are not "terrorists". Such careless use of a key NeoCon propaganda term is a great indicator that you are a victim and/or perpetrator of that movement.

O/T We have to avoid this "playing into the hands of the terrorists" angle as much as humanly possible, as that plays into the hands of those who would make us less free for their own personal gain or political objectives.
