it can also be argued that there is a crusade and the other side is reacting. That could be argued, but not very well. We just started a war pre-emptively against a Muslim nation; we have an Deputy Secretary of Defense running around claiming that the Muslims worship false idols and that the it was God's intervention that got Bush elected; we have a president who intentionally is trying to blur the division between church and state; and a leading Republican who traveled to Israel recently and told them that we will do whatever it takes to keep the Arabs at bay, and you think it would be hard to argue. Dang! Would have fooled me!
