It is people believing without make their own analysis, counter checking and scrutinizing the numbers and taking the raw data as Gospel. They are obviously easy prey to manipulators. The price of freedom is the eternal vigilance. Man have to be vigilant. The average citizen, is uncritical. They don't have the knowledge to counter argue government numbers. The same way the illiterate listen to the Muslim cleric and believe, the average citizen listen to his government and take as the truth.
