Why isn't our gov't giving us the numbers? That would end the speculation. And if they don't know, why don't they? Why would you expect them to know? To the extent they do have an idea it would be preliminary and subject to a possibly large revision (and if the revision is up the administration will be attacked for it). Also any number except a very very small one will be used to inflame anti-American feelings. Still I wouldn't be against some number, I just don't see not releasing an official number as being sinister. Tim
