Horrible, the things that happen in the reign of a dictator.

Oh wait.

The sister, Hanaa, a high school student, "is conducting backward religious activity inside the school," a security agent wrote in black ink in October 1980, a time of widespread persecution of Shiite Muslims. "Please open a secret investigation."

Soon afterward, Hanaa, a devout girl of 17, was arrested. She never returned home.

That's interesting. Isn't that a time when Saddam was best buddies with the US? Wasn't Rumsfeld shaking hands with Saddam in 1983?

What do you know, maybe the mother of all lawsuits in the newly democratic Iraq will be a joint petition to sue the United States for its support to a dictator who killed so many Iraqis and oppressed most of the rest. Wouldn't that be interesting?
