You may pretend that there was a debate, but there was no debate. There were words, sure.

No debate????!!!! MY GOD, you revisionist nincompoop..

It was only a little more than 12 months ago that the Congress of this nation SPENT WEEKS DEBATING THE USE OF FORCE.

The problem is that you don't accept the results of that debate by ELECTED REPRESENTIVES.

Hey.. you don't like how they voted, then fire them at the polls.

But don't spew your BS and claim there wasn't a debate.

There are a lot of things that our government implements that I don't agree with, or that I feel hasn't been debated properly. A ton of laws I don't like..

But you know something, those laws have to be obeyed EVEN IF YOU DON'T LIKE THEM.

The authorization to use force issued by Congress is equivalent to the LAW OF THE LAND, Sam.. So get a grip, or get the heck out and find a country that will always let you have your way...

They invented a phony "imminent" threat that now they say wasn't really an imminent threat

For one, get your facts straight.. Bush never stated that Iraq posed an imminent threat. He stated the following:

"Some have said we must not act until the threat is imminent. Since when have terrorists and tyrants announced their intentions, politely putting us on notice before they strike? If this threat is permitted to fully and suddenly emerge, all actions, all words, and all recriminations would come too late."

If anything, he's quoting those who claimed we should do nothing until it becomes unavoidable, or we're attacked..

People like yourself who would wait until the burglars are already in your house before calling the police..

The whole concept of the war on terror is that we fight the battle IN THEIR BACK YARDS, NOT OURS... Disrupt THEIR organizations, financial sources, and logistical and training sanctuaries.

And you can't do that sitting on your @ss waiting for the bad guys to fight the war ON THEIR TERMS by turning this country into "Fortress Amerika".

"What's the rush?" was the theme a Robert Byrd speech.

Screw that white supremist political hack.. Yeah.. he's eloquent.. he's a great orator and knows his Roman history.. But he's DEAD WRONG about permitting the French and Russians to run interference for Saddam's regime.

Don't fight the battle on your enemy's terms. Fight them on YOURS.
