Most made for tv movies are stupid anyway. Second rate actors changing a teflon president into a plastic caracture, i suspect. I think its damn funny that cbs will trade freedom of speech/press because of right wing discomfort.
Perhaps Rather will now fess up that Reagan had much to do with the fall of the USSR and the growth of the US economy which hopefully is resuming now with reagan #2(not bush #2). Put it on Showtime and nobody will watch it except Babs who thinks Broland is hot stuff. mike

I think the proof that your guess above is correct is in the fact that CBS caved so quickly. Once the quotes from the script got out, and people reacted, it was obvious the producers had gone too far. The hatred of the "Hollywood Left" for Reagan has been well demonstrated. They overstepped this time, and got caught.
