That would also be a viable comparable. The only reason I didn't include that on the list is Charlie Wilson. You may recall him as the U.S. Rep. from Texas who organized the covert funding of the mujahideen to the tune of $5 Billion.
I'm not yet aware of any country flowing arms and materiels into Iraq at a similar rate today.
