The Apex win is interesting, but I wonder if it means they gave up on higher end players. Apex is definitely the bottom of the line, cheap, and therefor must be very low margin contract. Volume should be high, though. I guess the question is whether this is a surrender or a victory. Did they give up on being selected by the quality manufacturers for these chips? My personal experience with Apex DVD's has not been good (bought 2 machines - both failed within 6 months), so that sways my opinion of any contracts with Apex. Maybe the volume will help revenue, but I certainly see lower margins.
