How many people were killed in any major city last night, and why aren't you posting that also?

Man killed in city run by Democrats:

Man, 53, shot dead in Bywater; killer at large

Tuesday November 04, 2003

From staff reports

A 53-year-old New Orleans man was found shot to death in the street Monday evening in the Bywater neighborhood, police said.

Roger Mayfield died from one or two gunshot wounds in the 900 block of Desire Street, about two blocks from his home, police said. The incident was reported shortly before 5 p.m.
From Our Advertiser

Police said Mayfield was shot after arguing with another man. He was found lying face-up across a curb and died at the scene. A neighbor said she heard three gunshots.

Police said they didn't know what the men were arguing about. They are looking for a man who appeared to be in his late teens or early 20s. He wore dark clothing and a blue baseball cap and was riding a bicycle, said Lt. Bruce Adams, 5th District chief of detectives.

Anyone with information is asked to call Crimestoppers at 822-1111. Callers don't have to give their names to be eligible for a reward of up to $1,000 upon the arrest and indictment of a suspect, police said.

Probably good idea for DIPLOMATIC staffs of various countries to be falling back...not much they can do right now anyway.

...The crash sent Joshua and Ms. Martinez flying several feet. Joshua's head hit a utility pole. Ms. Martinez, 20, came to rest nearby.

He died at the scene, and she died later.

They became the 29th and 30th victims of suspected drunken driving in Dallas this year.
