Don't get me wrong -- I think Steve would make a great P.M. -- on par with any in history, bar none. But how do you win an election when you don't have the media on side? For this amalgamation process to be considered a complete success, one of the outcomes has to be momentum in popular support. IMHO, one of the ingredients for that is good press. I find it a bit hard to imagine good press if it's a contest between Steve and Peter, with a maybe couple of little-known guys from Calgary joining in.

I like Stephen Harper myself, young, articulate, bilingual, smart. Rather like me except I'm not young and only partially bilingual.

And he is from Ontario too!

This is a little known and hardly mentioned fact.

He's my choice too. (I have already voted for him and he has served me well as an MP a few years back)
