The last ticket I received
was on the 605 freeway a number of years ago.

I was in the fast lane, basically keeping up with traffic.

Out of the clear blue, a CHP pulled me over with a few
other cars.

When I asked the problem, the officer told me that he
would not have pulled me over, except that I had to
apply my brakes when a TRUCK pulled ahead of me into
the fast lane.

Now, IF that happened, which I could not even recall,
it could not have been a big deal since I didn't
even know what he was talking about. (Had I
been required to panic brake for some idiot, I'd have
surely recalled it.)

Beyond that, why the heck was he bothering me?
If some stupid jerk in a truck made an unsafe
lane change, why was it my fault?

My only conclusion was that I passed the
revenue test and failed the preferred motorist
category.

still burns me to this day!!

I know what you mean about speed not equaling safety. But I am still glad they didn't pull me over the time I managed to safely get my little RX7 up to 150+ going downhill.... tim (okay I had to rock a little too)
