I want to send my kid to private school. Will you please pay your taxes so I can get my free "School Choice" payment voucher from the government?

BTW, with a $50K exemption indexed for inflation, this allows folks to chose what what they want to do with their tax savings dollars... raise kids, buy a house, donate it to charity or spend it in Las Vegas. What right do I have to tell them over populating the Earth with more resource consumers from the US is more moral than sending the tax savings from the $50K to Brian to use in Nepal?

"Why not just exempt the first $50K in income, index it to inflation and say "no deductions?" "

I can live with that but i would still prefer a pro-family feature that accepts the fact that kids are not earners and are the most legitimate of dependents. Two earner family with day care runnning 2k per month. If you dont want to mess with the 50k, you can mess a bit with a special family rate or a deduction for up to 2 kids. I dont think i am being unreasonable here or messing with the principle of the flat tax which we both support. mike
