It has nothing to do with trust. We just would prefer that UN clean up the mess in Iraq. (But I suppose that we are not dumb enough to not notice that it IS a mess?)

What the hell are you talking about.......for decades the UN has been our mouthpiece. Earn our trust? Where did you go to school?

It's an important question, because some people are trying to give the U.N. more authority over a whole host of things.

This is a small world. We need to have an international org. so we don't blow ourselves up. That's why the UNITED STATES OF AMERICA was one of the founders of the UN. We once were a country that believed in working with other countries in order to attain peace.

What has the U.N. done to earn our trust?

Well there weapons inspectors sure proved their worth. Maybe we should trust them in that area as well as some others.
