I see your point but I never said we were doing a crusade. However, I must say that I can see the Muslims believing we are on a crusade......

You may not have said that outright, but you sure seemed to support it. Here's what you said:

We just started a war pre-emptively against a Muslim nation; we have an Deputy Secretary of Defense running
around claiming that the Muslims worship false idols and that the it was God's intervention that got Bush elected; we have a president who intentionally is trying to blur the division between church and state; and a leading Republican who traveled to Israel recently and told them that we will do whatever it takes to keep the Arabs at bay, and you think it would be hard to argue.

Dang! Would have fooled me!

Sounds to me like you agreed. If not, ok.

I believe what my eyes tell me.........there are no WMDs. If you have evidence they exist, please provide it. As for Saddam, he didn't actively support squat. All he did was wait until the very end before admitting all the WMD had been destroyed.

I'm starting to wonder if Hussein still had them myself, however I think the Syria possibility could have merit. Either way, Hussein was to comply, and he didn't. We allowed him to drag it on for 10 years. He had enough time.

And he DID actively support "squat". There is no question he did not account for all of his WMD. He was definitely in violation of many resolutions (several authorizing force), but beyond that, he was promoting the view that he had WMD. They were sending us false informants, he had all of those chem suits and atropine etc. He wanted us to think he had the WMD, and he got what he deserved.

If he was doing that to save face, then he's the dim bulb <g>.

The ME, the US, and especially Iraq will be better off when we're done.
