We can use our military strength to make a point to the ME. Topping it off with a swagger is redundant re the ME audience and it just ticks off others. If it was a conscious strategy, I don't think it was a smart one.

We dropped enough missiles on the camels and tents a few years ago...didn't make any impression, just some jokes and snickers...
and then 9-11.

It's by far better to do a little 'swagger' than to bring the military to anyplace that is unnecessary. Especially with folks like CNN "picking and choosing" what info to give to their "international audience."

Remember Eason Jordan....CNN News Chief for the Middle East...He chose not to tell the truth about Saddams Iraq for years....Didn't want to get the ME or some in Europe upset.
And then 9-11.

Ran into an interesting court case in Denver. Seems a Lesbian couple adopted a baby seven years ago. The one who has acted as the "Mother" became a "Born Again," and broke up the relationship. The Judge awarded joint custody. Now here is the twist.

The Christian Mother is specifically forbidden to say anything to the child that could be considered, "Homophobic." Which means she can't make a Christian out of her, obviously, not an Evangelical one like her, anyway. The other woman, though, can bad mouth Christianity all she wants.

I can see more cases like this coming up in the future, as we have more gay marriages.
