I dont believe what is given to the public, regarding Turkey" (or any other country for that matter) I do believe that the Turks can be expected to act in their own interetss and we simply havent given them what they want yet, which is the return of some, or all of those northern oil fields that were theirs, until they were given to Iraq by the retreating British Empire. All blame for the current state of affairs in the ME can rest squarely at the feet of the British. Of course, the US, during WW2 didnt help either
