I think where Bush could use some improvement is in offering alternatives to the things he opposes. The problem here is one of weakness on his part. I know he believes, as I do, that no clear connection has been established on Global Warming, and even if there was one, a "Kyoto" type approach was worthless. Bush should have made a clear statement to that effect, but I believe his advisors talked him out of it. They felt they were better off not to stir up the "Enviropessimists." I feel this is exactly the wrong tack to take. The Intellectual core of these people are just as much Religious fanatics as the Terrorists are. Might as well take them on and defeat them in the open.
