LOL. In other words, line up a long list of excuses for doing nothing while carefully maintaining the appearance of a tough stance. That's even cleverer than Clinton's "tough response" tactics - lob a couple of missiles at them and declare victory.

But not in a hurry: "Why do today what you can put off 'til tomorrow?"

Only with a major coalition: "Because 45+ nations, including the majority of the nations and population of Europe, isn't quite "major" enough.

UN backing: "I would've asked nicer. France and Russia would have supported ME. I'm not a cowboy."

A solid post-invasion plan: "I would've been able to prevent the looting and I'd surely put a stop to the attacks. I was in Vietnam, you know - I know how to do these things. Oh, and I would've caught Saddam the first week. Why haven't we caught Saddam? And every home in the nation would have electricity, running water, inside toilets and internet access by now. What's taking so long?"
