Confederate flag voters (if they vote at all) don't read the papers. Dean's biggest mistake was insulting both blacks and moderate white southerners at the same time. That was a huge mistake. Those are the people needed to compete in the south. Then again, 80% of the south is a write-off to the GOP anyway. Clark on the ticket could mean wnning Arkansas and Florida is the big battlefield, but Florida is an atypical state.
