Yeah. Soon, a cup of Starbucks brew will cost $7.50; latte, $8.50. Of course, people won't pay, so stores will close and jobs lost.

Best way to deal with minimum wage is shut off illegal and legal immigration. The labor force for those jobs would suffer and employers would have to pay more to fill the jobs. That would improve the wage scale of the lower class.

That is progress.

Also we would have fewer Mexicans. That is progress.
