It was the first term. Solange Denis was the lady with the great quote, "So long, Charlie Brown." It wasn't "so long", but it certainly was the end of the honeymoon. If memory serves, that was the first real setback Mulroney had. It makes you wonder, eh, how a country can be so chronically badly governed. I try to think of a federal government in my lifetime that I could respect, and come up with zip. Not a whole lot better for my little province, either.
