of course you realize the california situation under Davis, and the national situation under Bush, are very similar. There are differences, as well. There are stifling taxes and mountains of idiotic regulations emanating from Washington DC, but California has added it's own multiple layers of lunacy on top of this. The foxes run the henhouse in Sacramento. Anecdote: I was down in the Laughlin NV, Bullhead City AZ, Needles CA area the other day. The three states come together there. I passed a gas station in Needles where regular unleaded was selling for $2.29 per gallon. I crossed the river into Arizona and filled my tank with the same branded gas for $1.53 per gallon. Hmmm???
