Your righteous indignation notwithstanding, I think it is way too much to expect the NYSE to actually give the little guy an even break. Ever since the founding of the exchange under that much romanticized buttonwood tree in 1792, the whole purpose of the Exchange has been to take advantage of those who are deliberately or otherwise deprived of the information flow that is the lifeblood of the markets.

Wall Street's raison d'etre is to skim a living off the honest folks on Main Street. Always has been, always will be. Hoping that Donaldson would violate this inviolable code of ethics is something that is a near impossibility in this day and age. The era of FDR, Joe Kennedy and Ferdinand Pecora is but a distant memory......
