Any electronic voting system will be susceptible to fraud and hacking unless it's capable of generating a solid paper audit trail. I'm not a black helicopter nut, but I don't trust my vote disappearing, without a trace, into some electronic "magic box"...

Double-edged sword. Open source means lots of eyes to spot vulnerabilities. But it also means you can look at the sourece, find a vulnerability, and exploit it before it's noticed.

I'd go with Bowers. Need a paper trail.
