I'm sorry if I irritated you.

No, you didn't. I just feel frustrated when I can't get a point across that seems so clear to me and so wrong to others. I think we had a good exchange. I find that these discussions seem to work better when they are spasmodic. We exchange some views, go away and digest them, and come back to them later.

You are saying, "Why don't we stop them at our borders instead of going into the mid-east?" Because an offense is a better way to go than a defense. We do both, but the only chance we have to wipe them out is to hit them where they are.

I don't have the numbers now, but the small war we were in with Saddam was expensive, and he was winning it. By his terms, anyway. The Euros were tired of it, and wanted to stop it and open trade relations with him. Kadaffi just won this type of war with us. He has all sanctions removed, and is running a slave state. He will hide terrorists as much as he dares.

I look at the terrorists as if they were an Octopus. With the head in the Middle East and tentacles all over the world. If we retreat to our borders and cut off tentacles, we will never have a chance of stopping this terror.
