"I don't know that anyone said those two words
together..."

I do. Lots of liberal media outlets, major liberal
politicians & a vocal minority of liberals said it loudly
& frequently...... most of them falsely
attributing "imminent threat" to President Bush time &
time again........

I had one friend begging me to get out of Dodge. That's my take. I don't see how I could have misread it.

I would not live near DC or New York City. It is obvious that if the terrorists strike, they will hit one or both of those targets.

I knew from reading that, from day one, we were going to start with Iraq once we got rid of the Taliban. If you read Woodwards series in the "Washington Post" on "The First 10 days", his reports on what the inner Staff was saying at Camp David made it obvious.

They made a "Big Deal" of the WMD's because the left was insisting that we go to the UN. And everybody knew he had them anyway. All the Intel said so. If we had not gone to the UN, we had plenty of grounds for going in anyway. The war with Saddam had never stopped. He was firing at our planes on a daily basis.

In any case, neither one of us is going to change the other's mind on this issue.
