Depending on what period of time you are looking at. Bet. 1921-1949, millions of true Chinese Communist believers have given up their own lives for others' happiness. If there had no their contribution/sacrifice, there would be NO this New China. A historical fact, whether people like it or not. And bet. 1949-1960's, there were also millions of true Chinese socialists/Communists gave up their own good/comfortable live style, or even lives (in case of Korean War), in order to let other Chinese to live a good live. Even if today, still some (not many) true Chinese Communists are living selflessly for making others' life happier.
