California voters have a right to be angry if they are, in effect, offering $80,000 subsidies to rich students.

Shouldn't that that read "offering subsidies to students of rich Californian parents"

Aren't these the type of people that California wants to retain as tax payers. (i.e rich Californian parents)

As I said before the only people that California will keep are the poor and the very rich liberals. The upper middle will keep moving out of California as they are expected to pay for everyone else and not get any thanks for doing so.

So, Bill, in light of this, do you stand by your response?

Yes, I do. The fact that the Ivys give a lot back in Scholarships does not change the fact that they can fill up with high tuitions if they want to. That type of High/low is Politically Impossible in California.

Democratic presidential candidate Howard Dean told a Tallahassee audience today that southerners have to quit basing their votes on "race, guns, God and gays."

Another doozy!

I believe he just called southerners racist, violent, fanatic homophobes...

The south will be stampeding to vote for him now...

and I was really hoping he would be the dem's candidate...
