Charlie Wilson gave a talk in Washington where he gloated over the fact that while certain Democrats such as David Bonior and Tom Harken were chasing the Iran-Contra story, that Wilson was covertly funding the Afghani mujahideen to the tune of $5 Billion in military equipment and support.
