TexasDude,

Re: Can you believe this?

Frankly, no. I've been saddened to have recently found out that Michael Isikoff has turned down an opportunity to do some important investigative work into the events surrounding the Bush handling of the pre-9/11 intelligence work that is becoming so controversial.

While Isikoff was giving us some tantalizing glimpses into the Iraq situation earlier this year, he seems to have come back into the herd, and is simply unwilling to engage in an aggressive truth seeking. This latest article about El-Hage seems to be nothing but fluff. How can Isikoff expect any of his sophisticated readers to seriously accept his word that someone attempting to forestall the naked aggression in Iraq would take the diplomatic effort to the very planners of this war crime? Wolfowitz and Perle would be the last people in Washington anyone with a diplomatic solution would approach. Anyone with an IQ over 70 realizes that the blood-lust and megalomania of Perle and Wolfowitz will only be contained by their removal from any positions of power.

The whole article seems to be nothing more than a red herring.
