Why conceal contract details, etc etc.

Kelman's polemics fail to stand up to the facts of non-disclosure.
Regardless how pretty they sound, it's a truism that whatever is kept concealed is guaranteed to generate at best incompetence, and more often criminality.
To engage in counter-Kelman polemics - it is unAmerican to keep the public's business secret, with the only exception of bona-fide military secrets, of which there are almost none, certainly not in these commercial transactions.
