Outlawing RU-486 = thousands more abortions
This right-wing group is about trying to keep other people from having sex, nothing to do with the unborn. They hate sex. They dont give a damn about foetuses. They're all liars. And secretly they're all sexual repression cases with lurid fantasies. Just jealousy freaks.

You are right, that was a rant....

The link I provided has nothing to do with a "morning after" use of this drug.

If a woman can stand the nausea she can pop several birth control pills if she feels her method of birth control failed..
Its all in the time frame -sperm can live up to 72 hours and these drugs delay ovulation...

RU-486 is a wonderful drug which reduces abortions.
In fact it's the main reason abortions rates have plummeted. People are still having plenty of unprotected sex. The hypocritical right-wing zealots trying to ban this drug will kill more foetuses than anyone.

Maybe I misread that statement DR VOODOO RU-486 does not reduce abortions.IT is an abortion pill.

Actually, the morning-after pill, or emergency contraception, has been around for years. Primarily, it consists of high doses of estrogen taken with progesterone together in various combinations. Basically, 2 doses, 12 hours apart.

The manufacturers of Preven have very nicely packaged it for us. Up until now, we've been having patients punch out the pills, out of their pack of birth control pills, and taking it that way. The manufacturers now put it into a small package, along with a pregnancy test and instructions, so it's easier to use.

If used properly within 72 hours an abortion is not even an issue.
